Gavin McComas was on the board from 2006-2012 and now serves on the steering committee.  Gavin has been officially involved in the world of natural foods since 1971, when he became a working member of the Willamette Peoples Food Co-Op in Eugene, Oregon. Prior to that he worked briefly as a milkman for the Springfield Creamery. In the 1980's he spent 5 years on the board of the Provender Alliance. Since 1983 he has been owner of Sundance Natural Foods in Eugene.  Gavin prepared for his career in natural foods by earning a master's degree in Comparative Literature at the University of Oregon.

The Natural Products Association Northwest (NPA NW) is a non-profit professional trade association dedicated to the natural/organic foods and products industry that supports health and wellness.

Founded in 1972, the NPA NW is a chartered region of the national Natural Products Associaion (NPA) that offers education and networking opportunities to natural foods retailers and suppliers and addresses both state and federal legislative issues on behalf of our industry members. One of five regions, the NPA NW now represents Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Kerry Morsek is the Store Manager of the Moscow Food Co-op in northern Idaho, where she strives to keep folks on the Palouse healthy and happy with natural supplements and toxin-free body care products. Kerry is pleased to bring her experience as a retailer as well as her background in non-profit management to the service of the Natural Products Association Northwest. She is passionate about scientifically validated product claims, economic sustainability, environmental justice and dark chocolate.

Stephanie Juhl, Executive Director of NPA NW


Prior to the NPA NW, Stephanie worked for Whole Foods Market-Midwest Region in Whole Body leadership roles at the store level and for a small, independent natural market in Washington state. She has experience working on the supplier side producing in-store retail television, account and program management for the video and corporate identity print industries and high-level customer service. Her passion is relationship building and finding exciting, new natural products for people - from food to skin care - and sharing those products with others.

Lorraine Hoffman, President, Healthy Me Health Foods - South Ogden, UT


Lorriane Hoffman has co-owned a health food store, Harvest Moon in South Ogden, Utah since 2011. She managed the store since 2006 with its original owner. In 2011, the owner decided to sell and Lorriane bought it. Lorriane became a Certified Nutritional Consultant in 2010, as well as her business partner, Nancy Litchford. Both Lorriane and Nancy follow Dr. Jeffrey Bland from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). They use this systems-oriented approach by engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership for the basis of their business. She is an advocate for organic products, including Non-GMO items and the minimal use of pesticides and herbicides. Educating people on healthier living is Lorriane’s passion.
